Wore these for less than 1k just to check sizing, then straight into the Lakeland 50 and despite wet weather for most of the race I had no problems with the shorts riding up or causing chafing (combined with runderwear merino boxers). Perfect length and simple, perfectly functional design meant I didn’t once worry about them or have to adjust them. Only criticism would be the rear pocket would be much more useful if it could take an iphone (regular) and I found the no-loss drawstring unnecessarily fiddly…but minor points compared to the superb comfort, and they’re now my go-to shorts for all long runs.
I wear runderwear socks and boxers and have always been really happy with them so was keen to try out the shorts. They are incredibly lightweight and look great, however when running they ride up my legs, rub and are uncomfortable. I was hoping for better given the price.
I felt great as soon as I put these on and they perform very conisistently.
I've been running with the Ultra Light Shorts for over a year now, I bought two pairs at the time and based on my mileage they must have done about 1300km each. As the name suggests they are ultra light and really very comfortable to wear when running. But what has really amazed me is how well they have survived! It's the repeated washing that tends to kill running kit and each pair must have had 100-150 washes and they still look brand new, no logos washed off, colours haven't faded, material hasn't bobbled.
Only criticism is the rear pocket isn't that big so will struggle to fit more than one gel in but it is that the zip is quite hard to open while you run that means you really don't want your gels in there.
Incredibly lightweight.
Bought one size down -supportive & movement without underwear.
Only criticism, pocket not big enough for mobile.
