I've run a 50k ultra marathon in them. With the bits they covered worked brilliant. But need to be a bit longer in the legs. Chaffed on ina thighs where wasn't covered by Runderwear. Probably would of been fine if was a little longer
Had Runderwear recommended to me by my local running shop, and can safely say it's one of the best recommendations I've had, extremely comfortable over long distances & zero chaffing!
Bought these after having several recommendations, and I'm certainly not disappointed! All underwear I've worn previously on runs 6 miles + has lead to chafing and having to 'rearrange' myself every few miles! First wear was for a half marathon, and these kept me comfortable and supported! Very lightweight and super soft, will definitely be buying again!
Very comfy and no chaffing which is always a bonus. Well worth it.
Very pleased, really comfortable and now wouldn't west anything else.
The fabric is very soft and smooth but this boxer short underwear is a bit tight for the size. I got a size medium. I have a size 30-31 inch waist and found that this garment was very restrictive around my waist and hips, causing a bit of muffin-topping. It probably is meant to be tight but did not expect the tightness I experienced. I did order 2 of the briefs and they, again were so soft and fits perfectly.
very snug, dry, cool and no chafing. definitely buy more AAA+++ thanks
A+, will buy again!
Great product. Very comfortable, even in very hot weather. All the right snug in all the right places. But still with plenty of room to move.
I've only raced twice wearing my new Runderwear but I've found them to be very comfortable and supportive. The wicking properties seem very good and I've had no chafing whatsoever :)
Great boxers, very comfortable & breathable, keep moisture away from the skin (y) :) Thanks, already bought the second pair ;)
I've only had them a couple of weeks now but been out 5 times wearing them, before I used to have to cover myself in vaseline or similar and just hope that I wouldn't chafe at the end of the run - no such worries now in fact I just bought an extra 3 pairs so I always have some even if a few need to be washed.
They pull up a bit higher than I thought they would go but it's really not a problem more of an observation.
If only they did something for my nipples:-(
I was highly skeptical about the comfort of this product. However, the reviews all stated that they were good so I thought I'd try them. I can confirm they are indeed excellent. You cannot actually feel that you are wearing them. Extremely comfortable and very, very supportive! I will certainly be getting more!
Having suffered from chaffing for a long time and tried numerous other products, I finally went for Runderwear. Fantastic product and thankfully have had no further issues.
I bought a pair of these just before the London Marathon. I did what I tell every runner I coach not to do and tried them on race day not in the build up.
They were fantastic, no rub no soreness no need for vaseline.
Cannot recommend them any more than 22.6 miles and 3 hours 41 minutes of running can attest to.
Training for a marathon so purchased these boxers as I was fed up with chaffing. Just ran 15 miles and the experience was amazing. No chaffing or rubbing. Excellent product and I would recommend them to anyone.
Runderwear boxer shorts are definitely the best quality and performance underwear that I have ever worn. I have not experienced any chafing while wearing Runderwear - even after running ultra distances. The moisture wicking fabric works incredibly well and the comfortable fit and breathability means that I do not have to lose any time making adjustments. I ordered one pair of shorts to try them out and soon ordered another three. Runderwear also seems to be very durable.
Great product very comfortable does exactly what says on the tin preparing for my second order
I have previously bought the briefs and am very happy with them, but this time I bought a couple of pairs of boxers. They are great. When I first opened the box I thought "these will never fit me, they're far too small", but they stretch to provide a real supportive fit. Very comfortable.
In the past I've worn normal underwear when running and although I've not suffered from chafage in the past there is a certain amount of adjustment needed as I go. However this will be a thing of the past since wearing the Runderwear boxers. They are perfect. No movement and as other people have mentioned no risk of chafing. You do forget you are wearing anything as they are so comfortable and light. Will definitely be buying morw pairs in the future.
The only pants that have ever stopped my chaffing. Brilliant, such a relief to at last run without discomfort
wow so nice to wear and love the style :)
Nobody needs chafage in their life. First off I run all distances from 5km to 100milers, the longer I go then the more important comfort becomes. Having tried all combinations these do exactly as required and I don't go for a run without them. Essential kit.
Very comfy....no chaffing at all even though I was worried that the legs could do with being a little longer.
I bought both styles to try. I wear them under running leggins or trousers for speed march activity. I'm really impressed by the pants as you don't even think your wearing anything and they don't play on your mind which is a sign of success if you don't think about them. The boxers were a bit more fiddly and not as snug. They didn't rub or play up but just not as comfy as the pants. They wash as good as new and don't fade or mid-shape.
I will buy more of the pants.
I am very pleased that I can now run as far as I like without the distraction of painful chafing. I have tried so many variations of running outfit and spent so much money trying to find a solution to what has been a very painful issue over the years. Of late I have been returning from runs of 8+ miles and dreading the shower that follows, along with the burning sensation that comes as the water touches the affected skin. The pain would just about subside between runs but then flare back up again. I bought Runderwear boxers in the hope that this issue would go away. To date my longest run is 14 miles, with no sign of chafing. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this brand.
Third par of these but the first pair of boxer style...
Fit well and haven't chaffed, my only reservation is that the first time a put them on it seemed like there was a loose elastic thread which pulled on the left leg.
I removed the thread and so far can't see any long term damage, time will tell whether I should have returned them.
Great products though.
I have bought a pair of boxer & a pair of y-front type and can't recommend them enough. Comfortable and no chaffing, so you just need to worry about your exercising!!
I was advised to buy some support underwear following treatment for a hydrocele. After much searching these seemed the best buy. I have been wearing them since, they offer good support and hold the dressing in place. They were the boxer type and I bought 2 pairs. Thanks
The tears of applying yet more antiseptic cream to my tracing paper thin gentlemen's area replaced by tears of joy at the wonderfulness of these pants.
Have already purchased 2 more pairs.
I'm not a runner by any stretch of the imagination, but I spend a lot of time on my feet and moving around and sometimes suffer really bad chaffing. Ouch. Saw the ad. Looked at the website. Watched the video. Tried them out.
I did think I'd been sent Action Man size pants at first, but they stretch very comfortably and haven't rubbed at all. I will be investing in more pairs very soon.
One request - if you could make a waistband for people of non-running shape that doesn't fold over / roll down, then you would have made the absolute definition of perfect pants.
I had my trial run of my new Runderwear on Saturday night at The Mighty Deerstalker and I have to say I was very impressed. The biggest thing I noticed was they never slid up my leg causing discomfort. There was absolutely no chaffing and they could very well be the most comfortable pear of boxers I have ever owned. Will only ever do events in these from now on!
I bought these to try as I play alot of badminton. Wow what a pair of underpants they are brilliant. Best I have ever used. Would not hestitate to buy more of these. Thanks Runderwear for making these.
These are really comfy and minimised chafing I usually get when running. Ideally, I need a longer pair of boxers though.
Bought as a gift for my hubby. They are exactly as described and delivery was quick.
He says they are very comfy and no chafing at all. If they last longer than 6 months then they are worth 5 stars!
Finally my lengthy search for the perfect running pants is (almost) over.
These really do what they say on the tin, a 2 hours + run the other day with no chafing or sweating problems at all.
They look comically small, as if they are meant for a 7 year old, but be assured they stretch and fit perfectly.
They really could do with being significantly longer to avoid the curse of thigh chafing but Runderwear assure me that there's a longer version coming soon.
If it is long enough they really will be the perfect pants!
Excellent wear for long distance running. Did half marathon and not a hint of discomfort !
They do exactly what they say they do.. extremely comfortable to wear. No chaffing or soreness.
After my initial order of "one" I reordered two more.
Beware of cheaper imitations though. These are by far the best
These are good overall, but could do with being linger to prevent thigh chafing.
I have been using Runderwear briefs this winter but was looking for something with a bit more coverage for icy winter runs. I chose the same size as the briefs but the boxers look very small when they arrive. However there is lots of stretch in them so they fit well. That bit of extra support and warmth down the hamstrings is helpful when its really cold. I have used them a few times now including a 22k through muddy woods and have experienced no chaffing. They come out of the wash looking and smelling as good as new.
These do everything that they claim. The boxer were indeed extremely comfortable and a high quality product. For me, personally, they do not suit for running as my (ample thighs) rub together leaving discomfort. I'd love a longer leg 'short' version to be made available and then I would buy nothing else. Great concept...just the one item missing in the mens range!
As part of my training for April 2017 world record LEJOG attempt, we run the 147 miles from Norwich to London, it's a massive thanks to the guy's at runderwear who have produced a great product that allows me to run the distance not having to worry about chafing. Thank you to the team at runderwear.
Got them to stop chafing my inner thighs away when running and they seem to do the job on 3 10km runs a week :)
I was a bit hesitant to buy online not knowing the fit, but I was pleasantly surprised !
Good to run in and for riding horses. Wicking & doesn't ride up the leg. Would have given a 5/5 if they were cheaper
Very comfortable, so far tested on a few 18 mile hill runs, although yet to try on the bike. Good sweat wicking. No more soggy sweaty cotton underwear!
This a review of the men's boxer shorts
Pros: Very soft stretchy material with minimum seams that felt very comfortable when I first put them on.
The legs of the boxers are far too short and ride up after a couple of miles of running.
The shorts don't seem to offer any real support when used for running.
Only worn the runderwear on a few occasions so far. The longest run was a 12 mile run. They seem to do everything they claim to do, and do it well. They fit great my only complaint would be that I wish they were a little longer in the leg.
As others have mentioned the way these are cut just doesn't work. They are far too short in the leg and come up way too high. I was really looking forward to these arriving but was left disappointed. Additionally once you have tried them on you can't really return them. Pretty expensive so won't be buying again.
I bought the men's boxers in a medium - I'm a 6 foot tall, 149lbs cyclist in my 50's, painfully skinny, though with a slight covering of fat on my stomach - by the God's the sizing looked small!
They stretch very well and the grippers at the legs work well, but unless you're ripped you're going to muffin-top.
Now I'm not bothered about that, no one is going to see me when I wear these as I do stretches and my core activation, but the waist band is starting to double over and, while secure and supportive, can feel restrictive.
I also feel that when I use them under leggings, for Pilates or Yoga, they will be too hot, but as this isn't their prescribed function, maybe no surprise there.
They were too small to try on over another item, so I couldn't in good conscience return them and had to keep them, however I bought 2 pairs and am exchanging the unopened pair for the large size - for someone of my frame and build, this is astonishing - LARGE?
Please read my review remembering I'm a strange Spider Monkey shape and I'm not running in the Runderware, but hopefully it may help flesh out some other mere mortals' decision making.
Essentially Size Up!
Hi I recently took delivery of two pairs Runder pants a pair of boxers and a pair of pant. I have to admit they are very comfortable and keep you in the right place if you know what I mean .
comfortable and supportive with no soreness from seems after 10K.
Wore these on a half marathon last week. They were superbly comfortable. I had no chaffing and they wick away nicely. They are highly recommended
Ok but nothing special really. Do 10k's and cotton briefs do just as well
Fantastic socks, thoroughly recommend them, Had trouble with blister with other socks, not anymore!
Boxers are pretty good as well!
Runderwear was recommended by a friend who participants in ultra marathons. As an endurance runner and having tried several various brands and designs, I was sceptical about yet another brand.
I was to be proven wrong. The close fitting nature of the boxers provided plenty of support and comfort. At no point did I feel uncomfortable over the long distances nor did i suffer any chafing.
A product that, so far, lives up to the descriptors and one I will happily recommend to fellow runners.
I bought a pair of the briefs a year or so ago, and thought I'd try out the boxers! They're are good as I had hoped. They looked TINY when I got them out of the box, but they are incredibly stretchy, so no real problems. I'm a 32-33" (perhaps 34" post-Christmas!) but the Small is fine; however, I think I would order the Medium next time (this view seems to be reflected in other reviews). I figured that I'd rather have snug boxers than loose ones!
As I am training for my first marathon I thought I would treat myself to a pair of Runderwear boxer shorts.
They are perfect for long runs, giving maximum comfort. I was so impressed I have just ordered two more pairs.
Very good quality and service, should have ordered a larger size than I am!
In fact he said he didn't give them a second thought. Altogether I think that means they are fit for purpose and fully functional :)
Watch the size carefully.
This may be my fault but 'small' was much too small for me. I have previously bought Calvin Klein where 'small' is perfect for me. Having worn them for table tennis I don't feel I can reasonably return them.
After the third outing with runderwear on, they are the best
Very comfortable pair of pants
Not yet tried!
I have seen Runderwear at several places (London Marathon Expo etc) and thought it was a good gimmick and the sort of thing runners would buy as we have to have all the latest gear. How wrong was I! Being of the 'slightly larger build', I have suffered with thigh rubbing causing chaffing. These have stopped that totally and are without a doubt the most comfortable underwear I have ever run in. I have gone from a sceptic to an advocat in the past two weeks.
Moisture wicking properties are superb; even when running in them 3 days continuously without washing still didn't smell and were dry. The fabric is so soft but cradles everything and keeps it all in place without movement.
I don't usually do reviews but these under shorts are excellent . Really good stretch and comfort and superb moisture management .
Being a larger runner i purchased xxl (38-40 waist), but they were more generous than stated. Having said that they are still a very comfy fit .
Would certainly buy again and recommend without hesitation.
Looking forward to trying the running socks recently ordered.
Excellent service and an excellent product that I thought I didn't need.
As another reviewer has said the boxers are comfortable for running and cycling - despite the controversy regarding underwear and pad shorts.
Now have two pairs. Wash well.
The product is as I expected and fits very smooth. When you take it out of the box it looks very small, but once you wear it you will find out it fits smooth.
As others have mentioned, the legs are short and will ride up even with the non slip rubber. Could've done without it or made the legs longer. Also they are "different" to the briefs so when compared side by side seen way smaller, see picture attached of small brief and small boxer. They do stretch out, fit ok and wick sweat well. Not totally convinced but means I can run in tights without having to wear running shorts underneath.
I bought two pairs of boxers with high hopes and in certain aspects I am satisfied. They're lightweight and wick moisture away as expected. Where I feel disappointed is the fit. The leg part of the boxers is too short and despite the non-slip strip it tended to ride up the inside my leg. I get no chafing from it but it is uncomfortable and annoying. The other end of the boxers (top) is too long. Now, I'm not the tallest guy but when I pull the boxers up the elastic strip goes above my belly button, then eventually during the run the fabric bunches up lower down. This is also uncomfortable. I have a flat stomach so this doesn't only happen to those who have a bit of belly like others have posted.
Maybe I should have gone for the briefs but now I'm stuck with the boxers that I don't have confidence to wear on long races. I'm running the Athens Marathon in five days and I'm going to go back to my older choices for it.
Comfortable underwear and no chaffing. Unfortunately the front does drop down a little due to my belly, but other than that great.
